What We Think: Every time I walk past this surfboard i can't help but pick it up. I don't know if its how it got its name but it always catches my eye. In my opinion this would make a great surfboard for anyone who has surfed bigger boards and is now looking to lose some length but without compromising wave count. The wide point is pulled way forward which keeps volume in the front half of the board, making sure you can still catch waves early but also still stable underfoot once you pop up.

Once you are up and riding, this is when the magic happens, the rear half of the surfboard is way more performance orientated, the pin tail and sharp rails will offer a ton of hold and drive in down the line style waves. With that hold you will feel like you can really push your turns to the next level without the fear of sliding out.

The Catchy really reminds me of a Hypto Krypto from Hayden Shapes, which means this surfboard is not just for improving surfers. You can drop the length pretty short but still keep the volume high. For example the 5'6 has 28.3ltrs. On a surfboard of that length you can fit snugly in the pocket and be explosive in the turn. It really is a 1 board quiver type of surfboard.

The Catchy is a versatile, fast and loose fun stubby board that will make you happy either in good waves or weaker days as well. This can be your favorite all around board or your best travel friend for small to head-high surf. With a single to smooth double concave with V off the tail, you can ride it 2"-4" shorter than your short- board.
