Shout out to the crew at the @deuslodge for the incredible food and hospitality. We took the team away for a couple of days, exploring the Dorset coastline I used to call home.
The waves have changed massively over the years, the sand banks of Boscombe and Southbourne were a shadow of their former selves, I remember when they first dredged the sand to replenish the beach over 20 years ago. But the charm, the architecture and the pier is everything I remember growing up here.
The DEUS lodge is a massive addition to an already buzzing scene. Once the Bournemouth area supported many cracking surf shops, the source, Bournemouth Surfing Centre, Sorted, YDNA, J.A.W to name a few. It’s a place that’s always going to feel like home and I can’t believe it took us this long to visit! We will be back.
