Lost
Founded in 1985, Lost Surfboards began as a creative outlet for Matt “Mayhem” Biolos and his friends, who spent their time surfing Dana Point, skateboarding Upland’s Pipeline, and snowboarding Mt. Baldy. The “Team Lost” name started as a simple scribble on books, shirts, and tables before evolving into a globally recognized surf brand.
By 1987, Biolos was sanding and shaping boards straight out of high school, adopting the “Mayhem” moniker and refining his craft under Herbie Fletcher. Today, Lost Surfboards is a leader in high-performance surfboard design, with an elite team including Carissa Moore, Tyler Wright, Taj Burrow, Kolohe Andino, and the Ho family. Unlike many top shapers, Biolos remains hands-on, continuously fine-tuning boards to push modern surf performance forward.
