A WORD FROM THE DESIGNER
The new Thermo Pot has taken all the best parts of our original design and improved them further. The cork lid, a beautiful sustainable material, takes inspiration from antique thermoses which often used cork in this way. Grown from Cork Oak Trees in Spain and Portugal, cork is incredibly water-repellent and insulative, so ideal for thermos products. The lid has groove indents which make it much easier to grip and turn, and also allowed us to design a wider-than-average opening, so it’s easier to use. We have also introduced a steel plate to the underside of the lid to ensure no-plastic contact with your food, and a nylon strap that holds the steel spoon firmly in place. The silicone foot, which is seen on some of our other products, helps to ensure it doesn’t slip on surfaces. We love how the natural cork colour beautifully contrasts and compliments the brushed stainless steel body. It gives the design a modern retro utilitarian appeal that will stand the test of time. It is a design showpiece product, created to be used for years to come.
