Two of Aloha Surfboards standout models are the Twin Pin and the EZ-Mid, both cater to slightly different types of surfing but share Aloha's commitment to craftsmanship and design.
We have recently received some beautiful gloss & polish resin tint models you can find in our Aloha Mid-length section.
Aloha Surfboards Twin Pin
The Twin Pin is all about freedom provided by the Twin fin set up and the rounded pin tail, clean template lines create smooth surfing. With a lower entry rocker to help quick paddle, upping wave count, and faster planing speed over the water. A fuller outline especailly in the 7'6, and wide point forward ensure it paddles easily and carries speed with minimal effort. The flatter deck and low rail taper seamlessly into a foiled rounded pin tail, giving the board hold and flow through turns, like only a round tail can.
Designed for open faces and down-the-line speed, the twin fin setup delivers that fast, skatey feel while still allowing for smooth rail-to-rail transitions. Loose and lively on smaller days, but still holds it's own in bigger surf.
Length x Width x Thickness = Volume
6’6 x 20 1/8 x 2 5/8” 37L
7’0 x 20 5/8 x 2 3/4” 42.9L
7’6 x 22 1/4 x 3 1/4” 57.92L
Note the increased width in the 7'6 version, if you like your boards with a bit more foam then this would be the one. The 6'6 and 7' versions are quite performance.
Ride Characteristics:
- The Twin Pin is ideal for those who want speed, and a loose, fluid feel. The twin-fin setup helps the board gain down the line speed quick in small to medium surf, and the pin tail keeps it engaged, providing control for effortless cut backs at higher speeds and in bigger surf.
Aloha Surfboards EZ Mid
This surfboard is for surfers who want the smooth flow of a longer board without the bulk of a beginner shape, the EZ MID delivers seamless trim, effortless speed, and clean rail work. Suited for all skill levels, from intermediate to advanced, it provides a balanced, intuitive ride that keeps you connected to the wave. With its centered wide point, and volume under the chest while paddlling, the EZ MID offers stability while reducing swing weight in the nose for more control in turns and easy duck dives. Surf it as a Tri fin or Twin + Stabiliser for increased speed and manoeuvrability.
Whether you're cruising small waves or drawing stylish lines in overhead surf, the EZ MID blends easy paddling with refined performance, making every session smooth and effortless.
Length x Width x Thickness = Volume:
6’6“ X 20 3/4“ X 2 5/8 38.94L
7'0 x 21 3/4 x 2 3/4 44.67L
7'6 x 21 3/4 x 3 53.64L
Ride Characteristics:
- The Easy Mid gives you an all rounder, with interchangeable fin configurations. It suits surfers looking for a board that can handle a variety of wave sizes without sacrificing style or performance.
In Summary:
Both boards are made with attention to detail and craftsmanship, offering unique ride experiences for different styles and conditions. If you're into speed and performance with a touch of retro freedom, the Twin Pin 7'0 is your board. If you like a versatile, all-around mid-length, then the 7'0 EZ Mid comes in a bit wider with a tri-fin set up & would suit perfectly. The 7'6's both come in similar sizes, so it's just a matter of twin or tri fin options.
We'l leave that up to you, but do always get in touch if you need a hand deciding or visit our showroom in Plymouth to see them.
