Mike likes to single fin log when it's small but will turn up the performance with a 2 plus 1 model when needed. A big fan of Thunderbolt Surfboards, Mike has ridden so many since their arrival in the UK that we look forward to gaining an insight on the constructions, fin placements, and overall board reviews moving forward.

Having shaped many boards between 2012 and 2018 under his Acre Surfboards label, Mike not only knows how boards feel under foot but can understand the intricacies of design & shape to enhance good surfing in UK waters.
Working with the RNLI for nearly 20 years, Mike is dedictated to the ocean, his family, and his quiver of boards. Based in Dorset on the UK's Channel Coast, "you have to take what you get, having the right board for the conditions makes a massive difference".
