So a little bit from me…
7 years ago we opened a small surf shop in Plymouth City Centre. We didn’t have much of a plan, our focus was performance surfboards, there was always beers in the fridge, and there were some crazy parties.
Who would have thought in 7 years we would have moved to our Cornwall Services store, built a second floor, built a cafe, closed a cafe, survived Covid, had two kids and have started building our second location back where it all started. It’s been a crazy ride, one we wouldn’t have made without a lot of hard work (thank you team past and present), a lot of luck and some naivety. We wouldn’t have started on this journey had we known what was in store for us, but now we are here and boy are we here to stay.
We can’t take all the credit, arguably we are only here because on many occasions our brilliant landlords and suppliers have been more then flexible to help us ride the storm. We are truly grateful. I also want to say a huge thank you to my wonderful wife Liz for supporting me through it all, and my business partner Sami for letting me get away with it.
