SURF HARDWARE SPECIALIST
Job Summary
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in surfing and knowledge of surf hardware to join our warehouse and showroom team in Plymouth.
The job would require working one weekend day per week.
Duties
• Welcome customers and offer them knowledgeable assistance on surfboards, wetsuits and all products in our showroom.
• Assist with picking, packing, loading, and unloading of materials
• Support shipping and receiving activities
• Keeping the showroom and warehouse clean and tidy
• Performing any other activities that may be required such as assisting with production, shipping online orders
Experience
• No prior experience in retail is needed but we are looking for someone who's enthusiastic about surfing and is comfortable talking to customers.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

DIGITAL MARKETER
We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and an ability to leverage data to increase sales, improve conversion rates and support own brand growth using marketing strategies and tools.
You will need proven experience with Google Analytics, running Google Ads campaigns, email marketing, PPC, social media ads, SEO and social media content management.
In return you will have the chance to head up our marketing department and take full ownership of a new and exciting part of the business.
Duties:
- Monitor and analyse website analytics.
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to drive online traffic to the company's website and social media platforms.
- Manage and optimise digital advertising campaigns across various channels, including search engines, social media, and display networks.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth in the digital space.
- Create engaging content for website, blog posts, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and customer experience across all digital channels.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices.
- Proficient in using digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management platforms, and email marketing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- You will be supported by our online team and our inhouse design team.
An interest in surfing or the outdoors would be great, but is certainly not required.
Salary for this role is negotiable and dependent on the candidate.

SHOP POSITIONS
STORE MANAGER
We are looking for a motivated Store Manager to run our Mango Surfing Store in Cornwall Services. Reporting to the business manager you will be accountable to lead and coach all team members to provide a great customer experience and carry out all company strategies to help drive sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in daily operational responsibilities of maintaining the store.
- Maximise store sales through a strong level of customer service, business and KPI analysis and utilisation of resources.
- Coach team members on store operations, department knowledge, and store visual standards . Set clear objectives for team development, with an emphases on exceptional customer experience.
- Promote a culture of strong communication and teamwork to ensure a store that runs seamlessly.
- Work with the office team to improve our online offering, ensuring that customer services is at the forefront of this.
- Focus on creating an omni business experience for customers.
- Assist with stock management ensure optimum stock levels are maintained.
- Oversee dispatch of ecommerce orders from the store.
One or more years of retail experience in a leadership role. Interest in the Surf industry/Surf hardware would be an advantage but is not essential.

ASSISTANT MANAGER
We are constantly developing and growing here at Mango Surfing, with many new and exciting projects in the pipeline! Customer service, product knowledge and team moral are all key aspects that we really pride ourselves in.
With that in mind we need to expand our managerial support within the heart of the business, at our Cornwall Services store. We are on the lookout for an energetic and friendly Assistant Store Manager to support and lead the team and help ensure all store standards and business objectives are met.
We are looking for someone to work alongside the Store Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of the store, exceptional customer service, sales targets, team management, handling of stock and deliveries. We are looking for someone passionate about the Surf Industry with experience in leading a small but dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Creating a friendly and welcoming environment for customers in the store
- Driving customer service
- Keeping a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the store
- Motivating and encouraging the team to work to the best of their abilities
- Passing on managerial communications to other members of staff, ensuring that
these are implemented
- Taking ownership of processing deliveries, stock and stockroom management
- Visual merchandising throughout the store
- Being a main point of contact for the team
- Opening and closing of the store
- Clear and constant communication with Store Manager
- Taking over responsibility for the store in the Manager’s absence
- Ensuring all online orders are dispatched accurately and on time each day
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team efficiently
- Able to work weekend shifts
- Able to work early morning shifts
- Able to work evening shifts
- Able to commute to our Cornwall Services store
- Have an interest in the surf industry and products
- Looking for a long-term retail management career
